LUN-A and PA-B drilling platforms, Nakhodka (Fuel terminal of the Trans-Siberian Railway)

Description:

Oil and gas facility complex built on the resource base of the Piltun-Astokhsky and Lunsky Fields on the North-Eastern shelf of Sakhalin Island. Operator of the facility is Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. Production is being performed via offshore platforms.

Platform Lunskaya-A (Lun-A)

The first offshore gas production platform in Russian Federation, designed for all-season operation within conditions of severe climatic ice, waves and seismic loads.

  • Installed at a depth of 48 m, 15 km from the North-Eastern coast of Sakhalin Island;
  • Platform height is152 m;
  • Gravity-type concrete base with 4 piers;
  • Platform deck is fully integrated;
  • Upper structures are launched on a pre-installed concrete base;
  • Our platform is supplied with drilling equipment plus distribution of hydrocarbons, liquids, water together with storage spot of chemical materials;
  • Production capacity: gas – 51 million m3a day.

Platform Piltun-Astokhskaya-B (PA-B)

Piltun-Astokhskaya-B (PA-B) is located on 12 km from the North-Eastern coast of Sakhalin Island in the open sea at a depth of 32 m.

  • Gravity-type concrete base with four supports of fully integrated platform deck;
  • Upper structures are launched on a pre-installed concrete base;
  • The height of the PA-B platform is 121 m;
  • Platform is supplied with equipment for drilling, distribution of hydrocarbons, liquids, water, storage of chemical materials;
  • Production capacity: oil ~ 8,974 t per day (70,000 bar / day); associated gas – 2.8 million m3 a day.
